This is a remote role, and we're looking for someone based within the CET time zone (or close enough to work effectively with the team).

Hypemasters is a fast-growing game development company behind World War Armies and other upcoming titles. We're building strategy games that combine depth, innovation, and community-driven gameplay, with players at the core of everything we do.

We're looking for a QA Engineer to strengthen QA across our mobile live games. Working closely with the QA Lead and developers, you'll help ensure builds are stable, compliant, and release-ready. Experience with release management, a working understanding of full-stack development, and exposure to live ops/live games are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Test mobile builds on real devices for functionality, performance, and stability
• Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases
• Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution
• Validate fixes and confirm release readiness
• Support release processes, including build creation, PR merges, and store submissions
• Validate live updates, hotfixes, and events as part of live operations support
• Collaborate with developers, production, and the QA Lead to improve quality and workflows

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in game QA, with strong mobile testing expertise
• Experience working on mobile live games and live operations
• Experience setting up and managing live operations (Live Ops) for games.
• Testing experience on mid-core mobile games; experience testing a strategy game is a plus
• Proven experience with release management
• Working understanding of full-stack development workflows
• Comfortable operating in an agile environment under a QA Lead
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong written communication and structured bug reporting
• Hands-on experience with Xcode, Android Studio, ADB, Apptim, and GameBench
• Nice to have: SQL knowledge and automation testing experience
